Overview
The building was Richard Seifert’s first foray into European modernism in London in the 1950s, but was spoiled by insensitive change in later years. Our gut refurbishment and extension transformed the building from its original 18,000 sq ft to 29,000 sq ft by increasing the massing at roof level and towards the rear. Surviving features of the Seifert architecture were carefully restored and new ones designed in harmony with the original design intent and with sensitivity to the Borough Conservation Area.
